Beeloha starts with a simple question: what if choosing where to work remotely also made it easier to have the everyday life you want?

Not just a room in a beautiful destination. Somewhere to concentrate, get outside, move your body and find people to share the ordinary parts of a week with.

Work is part of the day, not the whole story

Remote workers need places that respect the fact that they have work to do. A workspace is part of the Beeloha concept, alongside somewhere private to retreat to. The aim is to make a normal working week feel possible, rather than asking guests to fit work around a holiday schedule.

That also means paying attention to practical details. A pleasant desk, a supportive chair and a place for a quiet conversation matter. So does knowing who to contact when something needs attention.

An active life can look different everywhere

Movement is another part of the idea. In one location that might mean being close to the beach; in another, mountains, a lake, a gym or a padel court. We do not want every Beeloha to offer an identical list of activities.

We want each place to help guests discover what is around them. Activities and services will depend on the location, and individual destination pages should make clear what is included and what is an extra.

Belonging should leave room for independence

Community does not mean being together all the time. It means having opportunities to connect: a shared meal, a familiar face at the end of the workday, or someone who is also keen to try something new.

Our intention is to combine private space with shared spaces for working and socialising. Different properties can support that in different ways. A villa and a group of apartments will not look the same, but they can share the same approach to welcoming people.

Different places, a shared approach

Our initial plans include Zanzibar, Rwanda and Montenegro. These are locations in development, and this journal is being published while we work towards opening. We will share progress and confirmed details through the website rather than present plans as finished experiences.

Beeloha is being built by Carla Moure and Rebeca Dávila. Carla leads the business and partnerships, while Rebeca helps shape operations, content and the guest experience. There is still work to do, and we want to make the choices visible as we go.

A home with character

Our visual direction is light, natural and relaxed: timber, woven textures, plants, cream linen and touches of Beeloha yellow. We want homes that invite everyday life, rather than a conventional hotel atmosphere. These images explore that direction; each real property will have its own layout and character.

A worldwide idea with local relationships

Growing into different countries should not mean removing the character of a place. We want to work with local people, understand the neighbourhood and find ways for the project to contribute beyond the house itself.

That is an intention we need to turn into specific relationships and actions at each location. It is also something we want to keep discussing openly as Beeloha develops.

“Come for the island, stay for the people” captures the feeling behind our Zanzibar plans. The wider idea goes beyond islands: come for a place that interests you, and find reasons to feel at home.
