You can love travelling and miss home
A birthday can bring up feelings that an ordinary Tuesday does not. You might want a big table of new friends, a familiar voice on the phone or a quiet swim before work. None of those versions is the right one for everyone. Give yourself permission to want company without needing an elaborate celebration.
Tell someone what would feel good
New friends may not know your birthday is coming, and they cannot guess how you like to celebrate. Mention it a few days ahead. Suggest something easy to join: breakfast, a walk or dinner after work. If you dislike surprises, say so. A simple invitation gives people a chance to show up without turning the day into an event-management project.
Keep one connection with home
Arrange a call at a time that works on both sides, rather than spending the day checking for messages. You could have breakfast together across time zones or share a few photos afterwards. Missing people and enjoying your new surroundings can exist in the same day.
A little birthday gift from Beeloha
Spending your birthday during a Beeloha stay? A special breakfast or lunch is on us, and we will organise a little get-together so you feel celebrated. Choose the meal you would enjoy most; this is one complimentary birthday meal for the birthday guest. Tell your host in advance, including any dietary needs, so we can arrange it with you.
Your celebration, your pace
The get-together is entirely optional. We will ask what feels comfortable before inviting the house, planning a surprise or taking photographs. A shared cake and a few friendly faces might be perfect; a quiet meal is just as welcome. Our locations are still in development, and this is part of the guest experience we are building for our future stays.
Make space in the working day
If you are working, protect one small moment that is yours. Start slowly, take a proper lunch break or finish in time for an evening plan. Your birthday abroad does not need to compete with the best one you have ever had. It can become its own kind of memory.
